So just a random question... Who all in here is married?? I've been married to my wife now for 13 years.

I’m not married anymore, but I was a few years ago. I got a divorce.

Congratulations on being married to 13 years mate, it's not a small achievement. A lot of people get married and divorce in less than 3 years after.

I'm not yet married but I'm looking forward to it.

When it comes to getting married, it's very good get it right with choosing your partner. If you don't, it's why divorce rate have been going high for a while.

I plan to get married in the next 3 to 5 years time.

So so true marriages fail because of this reason.

I am not married yet, and I'm perfectly fine with the idea of never getting married, especially considering the horror stories I've been hearing. In addition, I do not plan to have children in the future; I will only adopt dogs. Hehe

It's why I don't ever want to be pressured into getting married especially from my mother. She have been on my neck for years now but I'm taking my time. I don't want to wreck my life for making a mistake with marriage.

I have been married with kids. If you are not married with the right person, your life will be hell but if you are married with the right person you will be in heaven. :D

Nope, been single for a long time.

Do you have any plans on getting married or have you been burnt by your partner in the past which is why you have decided to stay single for a long time?

I am not yet married. Don't think I would be getting married anytime soon. I want to make good money first before I think of getting married. For now, I just do flings and it is fine for me.

A lot comes with marriage, and that means you have to be prepared for when you should get married. It is not a venture that one should just casually go into without having deep thoughts about it.

But sometime, I tend to wonder what I would actually gain from getting married apart from companionship and that can be bought, even if it might be fake. I seriously want to have this conviction before getting committed to marriage.

It's definitely important to understand what you hope to gain from a marriage beyond just companionship. Marriage can offer a deep, stable connection and support system, which some might find irreplaceable and very different from more casual relationships. It also often involves building a family, sharing financial goals, and growing together through life's ups and downs.

However, everyone's values and needs are different. Some find fulfillment and happiness in partnerships without the formalities of marriage. Out of curiosity, what are some of the most important factors for you in a relationship that might lead you to consider marriage in the future?
