Whenever you're watching your favorite TV show and movies, do you like using subtitles along with it? I personally love using them because they help to keep me following up on all the dialogue in the movie or TV show.
I took a sign language class once and learned to sign a bit (though I’ve lost around 95% of it now). During the class, my teacher had us pretend to be deaf for a day to understand what it was like. As part of that, I watched TV with no sound and only subtitles. I was surprised by how much I got out of the show just by reading the subtitles! Ever since that experience, I’ve always used subtitles while listening with noise.
I'm among the people whom they are making use of subtitles that way in American movies . I can't just watch anything without subtitles as long the subtitle is enabled.
Sometimes I find it hard to understand what is being said. So I prefer to use subtitles so that I don’t get lost. Then I watch movies in other languages I don’t understand too.
My wife and I always use subtitles, doesn't matter if we're watching a show that's in English. It's easier for us to keep up with what the characters are saying since we both have auditory processing errors at times.
I don't like to use subtitles for the movies made in the languages that I can understand but for the movies in languages that I don't understand I have no choice but to use subtitles
Subtitles matter a lot to me when watching the shows that are complex or have complex plotlines. The use of subtitles allows me to grasp every piece of the film. The subtitles become indispensable when you want to understand difficult accent tones in foreign content.
The only times that I get to use subtitles when watching movies is if the movie that I am watching is not in English. I would just need to find the English subtitle to integrate to my movie player and watch the movie.
