When I do a rigid exercise or physical activity, it is my wont to drink. My favorite is orange juice but sometimes I prefer soda, particularly Coke, when the weather is hot. Drinking fluid is important for hydration when the body is tired. But eating a meal when you are tired can cause indigestion so it is not really a good idea to eat right after a workout. I understand that some people go hungry after an hour of 2 for their workout but you need a rest of 1 hour before taking in some food.
Eating after a workout is crucial for recovery. It helps replenish glycogen stores, repair muscle tissue, and support growth. A combination of protein and carbs within an hour post-workout can optimize recovery and reduce soreness. I’ve found that a smoothie with protein and fruit works wonders.
When you workout you lose energy and that energy needs to filled up. Therefore, eating is important. However, you should avoid eating too much carbs right after workout.
I make sure that I eat thirty minutes after a workout. Having to workout is quite exhausting and I start experiencing cramps in my stomach after I do workout. I always keep bread to eat after the workout before I even start.
